DIMENSIONS OF CONFLICT
-By HEMANT PORWAL
Conflict is a disagreement between individuals due to their opposing opinion. Conflicts can sometimes raise war which we will clearly see in the descriptive part below.
There are various types of conflicts. Some examples of it are listed below.

Labour Strikes
Strikes are various types of conflict that can occur in working places. They involve workers denying from work in order to protest against something. For example, strikes have been used to protest against low wages, dangerous working conditions. In this way, they initiate conflict because these all are threatening human rights.
Disagreement Over Rights
This can lead to conflict and tension, as people try to influence their opinions and try to convince others in this matter. It happens whenever people disagree over their values, rights, perceptions, ideas, desires or motivation.

In this a diverse group of workers, went on strike for the demand of high wages.
Discrimination
Discrimination is the act of treating someone differently because he/she belongs to a different race, gender or persist distinguishable characteristic. It can occur in working places, schools and in colleges.
We all have the right to be treated equally, regardless of our nationality, caste, race, religion, sex, gender, language or through other status. Discrimination happens when an individual is unable to enjoy his or her human rights or other legal rights on an equal basis with others because of an injustice made in policy, law or treatment.
In fact, conflicts of rights are common in discrimination and human rights cases.

Territorial Disputes
A territorial dispute is a conflict over the possession of land between two or more states or over the possession of land by a new state and seizing power after it has possess the land from a former state. This happens due to denial of rights to some group. The denial of human rights can increase conflict and the demand for the rights can do the same. The state’s inability to protect basic human rights and to resolve the issue through an official body may encourage groups to use force for their demands.
Some examples of state disputes are:
